HADS Gauge Card
Overview

HADS Gauge Card is a flexible gauge card made for Drag & Drop Card in Home Assistant. It is designed for dashboards where users want a visual, polished way to show a sensor value, for example energy use, temperature, humidity, battery level, power output, air quality, or similar numeric values.

The card has its own built-in settings panel, opened from the small config button on the card. There you can choose entity, icon, label, unit, min/max range, gauge style, colors, trend behavior, and history display.

It is also designed to be controlled from Drag & Drop Card itself. This means the card follows Drag & Drop Card design settings such as background color, transparent background, text color, shadows, size, placement, and responsive layout. If you change the card background in Drag & Drop Card’s Design settings, HADS Gauge Card will adapt to that styling.

The card includes several visual styles, including semi-circle, full circle, arc gauge, linear gauge, radial ticks, donut gauge, dual-color gauge, wave gauge, segmented gauge, and minimal gauge. It can also show a small history line graph for recent sensor values.

Installation notes

Import the HADS Gauge Card JSON file into Drag & Drop Card.

After importing, you can configure the card in two places:

  1. Drag & Drop Card editor
  2. Use this for layout and design:
  • Size and position
  • Background color
  • Transparent background
  • Text color
  • Shadow on/off
  • Responsive placement
  • General dashboard styling

  1. HADS Gauge Card’s own settings
  2. Open the small config button on the card to change:
  • Entity
  • Icon
  • Label
  • Unit
  • Minimum and maximum value
  • Gauge style
  • Good/mid/bad colors
  • Trend pulse
  • History graph
  • History period and mode

The card saves its own internal settings, so changes made through the built-in settings panel should survive dashboard reloads, imports, and cache clearing.

Just now getting started with this and excited for what's to come.

I am admittedly a novice when it comes to HA coding so apologies if this is obvious but I am having trouble getting the graph to show properly on the bottom for the historical soil moisture levels.

Any recommendations to resize the graph box? They are both set to 96 hours.

The graph box can not be re-sized as it is now, but I can look into a better sizing option solution for an update this week if that's alright?

Also based on your screenshot, I recommend that you make the card a bit less wide so that you don't get the visible bars on either side
